Wapakoneta’s Best Hot Chili, Best Mild Chili,
& People’s Choice!!
Deadline to enter is Friday, July 12, 2007
Entrants need to bring their chili to the festival by 10:30 am .
Each chili entry will have their own 3-4 foot table, and entrants will be expected to remain at their table throughout the cook off to serve guests that visit their table. Banners and signage for each table will be provided by the entrant.
All Chili should be in a large crock pot or roaster (at least 5 quarts) to keep hot throughout the cook off.
Bowls, cups, spoons, and napkins will be provided by the cook off committee. Entrants need to bring soup ladles.
Entrants are permitted to bring “chili toppings”, i.e. chopped onions, jalapeno’s, sour cream, etc. and can serve those at their table.
A panel of judges will determine the best hot and mild chili.
A ballot box will be located at the cook off, for the general public to choose a “people’s choice” winner. The winner will be determined by a count of these ballots.
